Happy week 2 of distance learning! This week we will continue working with first and secondhand accounts. Students will finish up their own written accounts by Wednesday and I am so excited to get to read them! On Thursday, we will introduce explaining events and relationships in informational texts. We will read about Thurgood Marshall and The Boston Tea Party this week. In grammar, we will focus on commas! Knowing where to place a comma and how to use them is something that is essential in both writing and reading. We will be working on SEESAW and on IXL for grammar this week. I have attached a file below of posters I would have normally put up in our classroom. They are rules for comma usage so please feel free to use them. There is also a 7 minute video that your students can watch if they would like to throughout the week. This will also be our first week using Spelling City for spelling. Students now have full access to all games and activities on the website. Their words will be uploaded by Monday morning so they can begin. A spelling test will be given on Friday. Monday:
